$2.3 million increase to CMU awaits Granholm's signature

This student newspaper at Central Michigan University carries an article mentioning that CMU will receive $2.3 million more in tentative state budget allocations than it did a year ago. The funding bill, approved recently by state legislators, is awaiting Gov. Granholm's signature. CMU has announced a 17.8 percent tuition hike but will lock in the new rate for five years.
